Grey cashmere robe, white lace tank, grey shorts, A Touch of Lace, Bloomfield HIlls
Despite few, if any flakes falling so far this winter, not to mention temperatures more evocative of early spring, that grouchy “Old Man” will no doubt make a blustery entrance soon. When he does, you’ll no doubt embrace the best of the season (see Resolution #1). Naturally, you’ll need to come in from the cold to warm up for a bit. And although we love our sweats and yoga pants, let’s save them for the gym. After all, sitting by the fireplace shouldn’t be a workout.
Buying loungewear and sleepwear should be the easiest tasks in wardrobe building. Start with pieces that feel great and, of course, look great. Cashmere, the ultimate in luxe fabrics, can be found in wraps and robes. Layer camis over Ts to stylize your look at home. And if wool and cashmere don’t agree with you, fleece and terry lined robes are always an option.
Karolina, our beautiful model (thank you Real Style), wears looks from sexy to comfy and sure to make you want to curl up by the fire … With a good book.

Of course we all love our E-readers and tablets, but a bound book … the feel of the pages, a handsome bookmark, jotting a note in the margin … reaching for an “old school” book is a special, almost calming experience. And for bibliophiles who lament the closing of Borders, metro Detroit is dotted with independently owned bookstores, like Detroit’s Leopold’s Books in the Park Shelton, across from the DIA, The Book Beat in Oak Park, and Berkley Book Corner in Berkley.

So with book in hand and loungewear on, brew some tea or put on a pot of coffee, maybe pour a glass of port, and embrace your free time … computer free, phone free, and TV free.
